All about Timberley
Three fun facts about Timberley
1. I am allergic to cats, but I rescued one anyways – her name is Willow. We think she should bring Willow by the office for a visit!
2.I am getting married in September 2019
3. I’ve never taken a season off of soccer and I’ve been playing since I was 6 years old! So I’ve been playing a LONG time!
In her time outside Special Olympics she….
Coaches a women’s rec soccer team, plays soccer competitively, and hangs out with friends and her  5 nephews and 1 niece. This year all her “free” time outside of that will go towards planning her wedding.
We asked Timberley if she could travel to one place in the world and have lunch with anyone, where would she go and who would he have lunch with.
She would travel to Bora Bora and  would love to have lunch with Walt Disney.  She would want to know more about his inspiration to create all his amazing movies that have touched all our lives for generations. NEAT!
If Timberley  had to be any animal she would be…
A Sea Turtle – Some species can live up to over 100 years! Some turtles will travel over 10 000 Miles a year in search of food.  The things they must see would be amazing! Timberley,we agree!

Special Olympics Involvement
Years and areas of service
She has been involved with Special Olympics since June 2014 (4.5 years). She started as a volunteer for a track meet and then was asked to coach Floor hockey that winter and she couldn’t say no. Timberley has a personal connection to a member within SOE; any guesses on who it could be? In addition to coaching, Timberley basically helps out with EVERYTHING! She even traveled to the summer games with only a months notice 🙂
We asked how Special Olympics has impacted her life
Where do I begin?  Special Olympics has been an amazing adventure for me.  I have met so many amazing people and gained quite a few friends.  It has changed my outlook on life and made me realize that no matter what life throws at you, you can always come out on top!  I cannot wait to see where the next few years brings me
Her advice for someone new who wanted to become involved with Special Olympics
Do it! Joining Special Olympics has been one of the most rewarding thing I have ever done, I know you won’t regret it!  Even on your lowest days, coming to a practice and seeing everyone will brighten your day! Everyone leaves with a smile!
A memorable Special Olympics moment for her
The moment I heard I won this award!  I honestly never thought I would win such an amazing award because I don’t expect to be rewarded for the work I put in.  The work itself is the reward in my opinion.

About this award
Timberley was nominated for this award and chosen by people in her community. She had a few words to say about this…
I was honestly shocked when I heard I had won this award.  There are so many amazing volunteers in these programs, including the ones that nominated me.  I cannot express how much I appreciate every single one of you and I am so thankful that I am able to make even a slight difference in your lives.  Thank you
