Individuals who participate in Special Olympics programs are athletes who strive to gain more out of life through sport training and competition in their chosen sport or sports. Special Olympics athletes attain more than just sport skills through their involvement, they also develop social skills, learn about sportsmanship and camaraderie, as well as increase their independence in everyday living skills. These athletes show their pride through their smiles, dedication, and positive attitudes!
