Volunteer Orientation

Objective:

To provide all volunteers with an opportunity to get connected with other volunteers, meet the office staff and AMC as well as gain valuable information about Special Olympics Edmonton, what their role is and how the new program season will run.

Who: ALL volunteers are required to attend
Where: Central Lions Seniors Centre 11113 113 Street
When: 6:00pm – 8:00pm – Registration Opens at 5:30 pm

Overview:

For the first hour, coaches and volunteers will attend 3, 15 minutes sessions outlining Special Olympics Edmonton, Volunteer Roles and Programs (light snacks will be served). Dinner will be served at 7:00 pm, followed by a coaches meeting about the upcoming program season. It is MANDATORY that all HEAD COACHES attend the coaches meeting. It is recommended that ALL volunteers and coaches stay as the information is valuable for program success.

NOTE: Those volunteers who cannot make this session will need to attend a make-up session in October. Date TBA.
