National Volunteer Week

Tuesday, April 14th 11:56 AM

Tying up laces, handing out bowling balls, supporting fundraisers and delivering high fives may not seem like heroic acts, but when you do it each week, every year, for 10 years, it is building confidence, self esteem, strengthening communities and in short, enriching lives.
Special Olympics volunteers are some of the compassionate, committed people because they are surrounded by
happiness, inspiration and the determination of our athletes. Not only do they volunteer time to encourage the growth
of athletes, they ensure the sustainability of sports in their local communities to reach more athletes and provide diverse sport opportunities.
